Amarion "Silverblade" Xaeo's Application (Approved)

1. Character Name (this will be your name on the site and forums): Amarion Xaeo, also known as Amarion Silverblade.

2a. Class (Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, or Trooper): Jedi Consular

2b. Advanced Class (if decided): Torn between Sage and Shadow. Thinking Shadow for taking potential but am unsure.

3. Please describe your knowledge of Star Wars? The more detailed the better, please: Extensive. I've read all of the Jedi Apprentice, New Jedi Apprentice, some of the New Order books (those that happen after the events of the movies), Seen all six movies repeatedly, watched some of the Clone Wars, played Force Unleashed, Jedi Academy...alright, pretty much all of the Star Wars IP games. Rather extensive list.

4. Please tell us about your other guild/MMO experiences. If there is more than one guild/experience, please include all of them. If you left your last guild, please tell us why you decided to leave. If you have used more than one name, please list them all.*
I've played pretty much every major release from SWG to the most recent Rift, and everything in between. It would take several pages to list my guild experience in all of these games, so I say that I have mostly served in a guild leader or administrator role in my MMO playing career. Some of the highlights being leader of two very successful roleplaying guilds in World of Warcraft, on the Earthen Ring and Moon Guard servers respectfully, along with several other organizations and experiences under my belt.

5. What type of role do you wish to take within the guild? How do you plan to be active? Please be specific.* I'm not sure to be honest. This question will be better answered when the game is released. However, I will say that in whatever guild I am in, I give it my all, 110%, and do whatever I can to assist the members and guild as a whole be the best it can be.

6. Why do you feel the Army of Light is a good fit for you?* The roleplay story, activeness of the membership, and overall feel of the guild is something I enjoy. I've been watching and considering applying for some time, and finally decided to give it a shot.

7. What do you expect of the guild? Please be specific: A warm place to be, among friends. An almost extended family.

8. Age* (Must be 16+): 21 (22 in August)

9. Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time

10.Role-Play experience/expectations. Can you give us some examples of Role-Playing you have participated in before. When it comes to expectations, give us an example of what would be fun to participate in, what you are looking for, etc: I have participated in everything from small, tavern side RP to large, extensive roleplay battles featuring multiple guilds and even multiple factions, along with several other lengthy storyline roleplay or quick episodic events.

11. How can you benefit and help the guild? Please include any skills or talents you have that you would
enjoy doing within the guild. How have you helped your previous guild(s), if you have previous experience: As I said before, I have been uniquely gifted with the opportunity to serve as everything from a guild leader to lowest recruit. Most of the guilds I have been in, I have ended up in a leadership or administration position due to my skills, personality, and experience. I offer all of these things and more to the guild, to be best used in whatever way the council sees fit.

12. How do you define a quality member: Someone that logs in and everyone knows they are here. Not because they have a poor reputation, but because they are generally friendly, fun, and helpful to all those around you.

13. How did you find the Army of Light? Did someone recruit you? If so, please let us know who; I have been watching the guild for some time. I first found you by your forum post on the official forums.

14a.Have you visited our website and chat room, and familiarized yourself with the, Charter, Mission Statement, and Rules of Conduct? (You must answer in the affirmative and please prove that you have)* Yes. I have chatted with some of the members (like Cormac Darjay) and have read both the charter. My language will be clean, my attitude respectful, and I will stay in-character as much as possible.

14b. Do you pledge to fulfill them, most notably to uphold the virtues of Maturity, Honor, Respect, Personal Ethics and No Drama? Absolutely.

14c. The Army of Light wishes to have members who take the concept of Commitment and Loyalty very seriously. By applying and if accepted, you are taking an Oath to both the guild and your guild-mates here. Is this something to which you can commit? I can.

15. Would you say that you embody the qualities of Respect, Honor, Loyalty, and Maturity? What are your definitions of these four words? Please don’t just answer yes or no, let us know why you think you possess these qualities.* Respect: Showing maturity and understanding, even in the face of hostility, disrespect, or rivalry. Honor: Doing the right thing even if it is the wrong time, no matter the cost or consequences. Loyalty: No matter the difference of opinion or action, show faith and commitment when it counts. It also means speaking up when you feel injustice is being done, even within the guild. Maturity: The understanding that we are all living, breathing humans behind the computers. Act appropriately.

16. Tell us about a time you offered assistance to someone who did not ask for it but clearly needed it. If you have never had this experience, tell us what you would do if faced with that situation: Assuming you are talking about a in-game situation: I have been known to send "new member kit packages" to new players or guild members once I have myself established in game. They may not have needed it, but I am sure the assistance went a long way in making for a loyal, committed member.

17. Role-play Scenario (please tell us how you would handle the situation): You are leading a group of 3 others through a forest on a remote moon to destroy an enemy communications relay. Up ahead in a clearing, you happen to spot a small Sith camp. Your group has not yet been spotted by the enemy. You are reasonably well supplied for your mission, including armaments. The clearing containing the Sith camp is not necessarily in your direct path to reach your original mission objective. Attacking the camp could alert the guards at the relay. However, attacking the relay without first dealing with the camp could mean enemy reinforcements from the camp. What do you do:

You draw one of the Sith troopers away from the camp, appealing to their usual selfish desire for power and respect. Naturally, you have whoever is the bait appear weak and an easy capture, making sure that the Sith does not send for back up. Once done, spring the trap and capture the Sith trooper or officer. Bind him, and take his uniform and any codes or security details he has on his persona. Have the "new Sith officer" escort myself into the heart of the small camp, as a prisoner of war. Once there, deal with the immediate danger and have the disguised soldier hack into the computer services. Send a false report to the communication relay about a possible planetary breach several leagues away from the base. This done, plant explosive charges in the base, and make your exit. Once some of the men at the communications relay have moved on, detonate the explosives to cause a power outrage and an alert to be issued to the base, sending out more troops and making it even less defended. Once done, our team makes our way through what is left of the troops at the relay, disengage it, and wait for the next stage of the mission.

18. In more than 50 but less than 200 words, please describe your personal character and the type of person you are (We wish to get a good feel of the type of person that will be becoming a part
of our guild family - a very important question!): As silly as it sounds, I have taken great note of the Jedi code and the Old Code (see original Dragonheart). They made an effect on me when I was younger, and are standards I have tried to hold myself to ever since. It may seem silly, but it is something I have great respect for, and strive to keep in mind.

19. Tell us a little about your in-game character*
-Character Name: Amarion "Silverblade" Xaeo
-Character Physical/Mental Features: Mid twenties, good physical condition. Intelligent being, top in philosophical and leadership classes in the Temple. Shows qualities of an ambassador or general.
-Character Biography: Not much is known about this individual. He is close to being moved from apprentice to Jedi Knight status in the temple. He was originally the Padawan of a Tyloreus Draego, who was slain in the aftermath of the destruction of the Jedi Temple. Since then, Amarion has taken to looking for another master to finish his apprenticeship, but has yet to find a master willing to train him due to the rumors of his old masters death being faked, and that Tyloreus has fallen to the dark side. There is no evidence that this story is factual.

After you have been here a minimum of 1 week and have done all the aforementioned, you must then interview with myself to pass into Full Membership.

With that successfully completed, you will report to the Jedi branch leader (General Shoja Fodun) for general class branch training and to Generals Durron or Vyynn Randos for Squadron/Platoon assignment. Squadrons will act as your home within your home and help acclimate you to guild life and try to answer any questions you may have.

When you go onto your profile, you will see an 'Avatar' section. It will give you directions on how to get an avatar from the internet or from your PC.

I'd reccomend searching on google or deviantart. From there it would be a simple matter of cropping the crap out to make it fit. I'll help if you'd like.
