I hope nobody has taken this name already because I'll be very angry... Victor Vinoda. I had previously been in contact with this guild but for personal reasons I decided to leave until the actual game showed any advance. With the recent Guild update I am racing now to reserve my space in this guild which I am sure will be worth my time.
2. Class (Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, or Trooper):*
I will go For Jedi Knight as a main. Jedi Consular second, then Trooper and then Smuggler... But I consider myself as a Jedi Knight.
3. Please describe your knowledge of Star Wars? The more detailed the better, please: *
I am Mexican, being that star wars is American Sci-fi I have grown up being a lonely fan in an environment that could not care less for things like these. I used to be an uber Geek until I was 14 (born 1991), carrying my toy lightsaber everywhere possible, it kinda made me feel more secure and it was fun, until I realized I don't need to obsess over fake things and toys to be a fan of star wars, so since then I have been more reserved. Now that I look back I can see why the star wars prequels fail as movies, the originals had a special feel to them, they felt more real, but most importantly they connected with people, the prequels were just a story used to tell visual effects, but I still prefer them over other great Sci-fi trends like star treck. I know enough about the expanded universe to say that Lucas should leave the rights of star wars to its dedicated fans who actually know what they are doing, of course my main source of SW EU has been videogames, and the ever so usefull wookiepedia. Bioware has made a connection with me because of KOTOR, and overall I am expecting great things to come. So thats my story with Star Wars. Also I secretly consider my religion to be Jedi... If only I had the force...

I have played other MMO's but I never really got into a Guild before. I've stayed away as possible from WOW, but I have played D&DO, LOTRO, 9Dragons, ACE Online, Flyff (mistake), Guild Wars 2, Jumpgate, Xiah, and so on without actually paying anything. EVE online was the first game I played and payed, it was also the first game I joined what you could call a guild: a corporation, but it was almost empty and nobody seemed to care on anything. I wanted to play more but I lost my job and decided to quit, looking back I realize it was really boring... But I am certain SWTOR will be a different story, at least because I'll be with a guild from the beggining and this one seems to be more than good enough.

5. What type of role do you wish to take within the guild? How do you plan to be active? Please be specific.*
To play! Well of course, but also I would gladly take part in the guild as much as I can. Since I am in colege my free time may vary so I doubt I can keep a steady schedule, but overall I swear to be a great member and maybe I can teach newcomers as soon as I stop being one myself. I'm just glad to be part of a team.
6. Why do you feel the Army of Light is a good fit for you?*
I have followed this guild since it was called the 'new Jedi order guild' I've kept a low profile but I have been atracted to it since the beggining. I hope many of the things you wish to do will be possible in the actual game. I trust it will be a good experience.
7. What do you expect of the guild? Please be specific.*
Good company, good friends, memorable moments and having fun!
I don't know how I can be more specific, I'm just expecting this guild to live up to its word once the game launches.

19 as of 3/9/2011
My birthday is 5/23 so I'll probably be 20 by the time the game comes up.

I am studying in Vancouver, BC, Canada, I use US & CANADA pacific time.
10.Role-Play experience/expectations. Can you give us some examples of Role-Playing you have participated in before. When it comes to expectations, give us an example of what would be fun to participate in, what you are looking for, etc.*
I imagine to inmerse myself into my character and the people around my, I think I expect my heart to pump in moments of action, to laugh, to cry, and to have a wild ride until I log out, I just hope it does not become too adictive.
11. How can you benefit and help the guild? Please include any skills or talents you have that you would
enjoy doing within the guild. How have you helped your previous guild(s), if you have previous experience?*

No hater, no spammer, someone not afraid of inmersing into the environment and just have a good time.

I found you on the Forums on SWTOR, and I thought you had the best idea and organization so I decided to apply. Maybe it was the will of the Force.

Yes, simply put everyone must behave apropiately and unlike 4chan.

Yes, especially no drama.
15. Would you say that you embody the qualities of Respect, Honor, Loyalty, and Maturity? What are your definitions of these four words? Please don’t just answer yes or no, let us know why you think you possess these qualities.*
In my own words: respect means treating everyone like an equal, not because you have to but because we all depend on each other no matter what, this is the basis of civilization. Honor means acnologying the accomplishments of others and oneself without pretending to be something you are not. Loyalty is to be sure that the one you are dedicating your effort is worth your effort, wether you are a servant or a master. Maturity means understanding that your actions have consequences and you cannot escape from them, this comes with mental experience, not physical age.
16. In more than 30 but less than 100 words, please describe your personal character and the type of person you are (We wish to get a good feel of the type of person that will be becoming a part
of our guild family)*
I like to be the kind of person that can have a sense of humour but be serious and deep when the situation demands it, I see the future with possibilities rather than predictions of the end times because I believe that we can learn from our mistakes and make something great that will resonate throughout the entire universe, we can create a civilization that will stand for as long as stars burn in the universe, a civilization based on true universal good: balance, knowledge and humility. We have many obstacles but facing them will only make us stronger and worthy of continuing our existence. Thats kinda why I like Science fiction, because it presents a view of the future that can actually turn out better than expected, inspiring future generations to keep moving forward.

My character Victor Vinoda obviously is made to represent these ideals, trained to be a Jedi Knight because in this universe its the best option to take to dedicate your life to protect a great civilization and its principles like the Republic. Thats who I am.

17. Tell us a little about your in-game character*
-Character Name: Victor Vinoda
-Character Physical/Mental Features: Human, Black hair and eye color, shorter than the average human being, looks youger than his actual age. Green prefered lightsaber color.
-Character Biography: Parents were working class, father was killed in an incident with pirates, mother overworked herself to get enough money to escape into a better life, mother got in trouble with gangs and had a bounty on her, a bounty hunter came to kill her in front of her son, suddenly a Jedi comes and kills the bounty hunter but he is too late to save the mother, the Jedi senses potential in the child and takes him to train in the Jedi ways. Victor Vinoda trains and is determined to make the galaxy a better place for others like him, he grows up to be a powerful Knight, his greatest battle is against his personal desire to become some kind of vigilante and rid the galaxy of evil people one by one, but he knows this is not correct and it could lead to the dark side, only after finding the internal strength to be at peace with those he would rather kill can he become a true Jedi Master.

I actually prefer cold weather but yeah sometimes is quite unbearable. considering I see people wearing shorts when I'd rather wear layers of clothing...
