1. Character Name (this will be your name on the site and forums):*

Korvus Starlight

2. Class (Jedi Consular, Jedi Knight, Smuggler, or Trooper):*

Jedi Knight

3. Please describe your knowledge of Star Wars? The more detailed the better, please: *

My knowledge of Star Wars includes the events that take place in the movies (The Rise of the Empire era along with the Rebellion era), I have also read many Dark Horse comics relating to the old Republic era. I have also played many of the Star Wars games out there, such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (1+2), Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Star Wars: Republic Commando, and Star Wars: Empire at War (Along with the expansion, Forces of Corruption).

4. Please tell us about your other guild/MMO experiences. If there is more than one guild/experience, please include all of them. If you left your last guild, please tell us why you decided to leave. If you have used more than one name, please list them all.*

I have yet to join a guild as this will be the first MMO that I will be dedicated to. I have played other MMOs, but none have kept my interest so I have never looked for a clan.

5. What type of role do you wish to take within the guild? How do you plan to be active? Please be specific.*

I hope to become a valuable asset in both PvE and PvP environments. I will try my hardest to help those in need and I also plan on supply various goods to the clan at either base price or cheaper depending on said item. I am also willing to take up mentor responsibilities if the time arises.

6. Why do you feel the Army of Light is a good fit for you?*

The Army of Light represents all that is good in guilds. The members hold respect and maturity as major tenets as I myself do. I also believe that sacrifices of ones self must be made for the greater good as does this guild.

7. What do you expect of the guild? Please be specific.*

I expect respect from other members and in turn they will receive the same. I also expect that I will learn more of the Star Wars universe due to the fact that this guild has an Academy to teach its members and in learning more I will learn more about myself as a result.

8. Age:*

21

9. Time Zone:*

PST

10. Role-Play experience/expectations. Can you give us some examples of Role-Playing you have participated in before. When it comes to expectations, give us an example of what would be fun to participate in, what you are looking for, etc.*

I have roleplayed on many forum type sites along with a few other kinds of sites. I have been told I was quite good. An example of this would be the many battle based roleplaying missions taking place over history and over fictional events often in other realms. I've done several World War roleplays for instance, from the Battle of Stalingrad to Operation Market Garden. I have also played a few times in the realm of the Lord of the Rings, such as the Battle of Helm's Deep. Another genre I have explored besides war and action is love. This I admit I was rather good at, or so my partner told me, however I do not wish to discuss them further as I am sure you are capable of imagining what occurred for yourself. I have since mainly retired from roleplaying, simply because life has gotten a bit busier as time has progressed. What I am looking for then in the way of roleplaying is a chance to establish my character and go on quests with either large rewards or large risks.

11. How can you benefit and help the guild? Please include any skills or talents you have that you would enjoy doing within the guild. How have you helped your previous guild(s), if you have previous experience?*

I am a helpful individual and will impart any knowledge I may have to any other member of the guild. If a guild member needs help with a quest I am also willing to help them in anyway I can, either with direct action or with knowledge that I can impart to them.

12. How do you define a quality member?*

A quality member is someone who not only has loyalty, but is capable of imparting some sort of benefit to the guild, whether it be to a single member or to the guild as a whole.

13. How did you find the Army of Light? Did someone recruit you? If so, please let us know who.*

I saw the post on the official Star Wars: The Old Republic forum. From this link if it helps:

14a. Have you visited our website and chat room, and familiarized yourself with the, Charter, Mission Statement, and Rules of Conduct? (You must answer in the affirmative and please prove that you have)*

Yes I have visited the website and chat room and I know of the Charter, Mission Statement and Rules of Conduct. As for proof I know that the website is currently version 4.0 and the Army of Light uses Xat as the form of chat on site. Maturity, respect, integrity, loyalty, and dedication are the guidelines for the guild and wisely so as you get what you put into something.

14b. Do you pledge to fulfill them, most notably to uphold the virtues of Maturity, Honor, Respect, Personal Ethics and No Drama?*

I do.

15. Would you say that you embody the qualities of Respect, Honor, Loyalty, and Maturity? What are your definitions of these four words? Please don’t just answer yes or no, let us know why you think you possess these qualities.*

Yes, I do embody these qualities. I give respect to others so that I may receive it. No one respects those who have no respect for others. Respect is earned and not given. Honor is honesty, integrity, and fairness in ones actions or beliefs. If you are true to the Jedi code than you are indeed honorable. Loyalty is unwavering faithfulness, regardless of what stands before you. Maturity is the capacity to respond to events in an appropriate fashion as one must do daily to both survive and thrive in this world.

16. In more than 30 but less than 100 words, please describe your personal character and the type of person you are (We wish to get a good feel of the type of person that will be becoming a part of our guild family)*

I am a person who holds strong to his beliefs where others would falter. I am a being with a moral obligation to doing what is right. Injustice bothers me deeply and if I myself cannot correct it I am sure to speak of it and make it known to those who can correct it. Despite this I have a relaxed persona and I take time before making decisions.

Biography/ starting story:
Born on Nar Shaddaa, his parents were killed by the Hutts at the age of 7. He became a street urchin. Stealing food and creating shelter where he could be sure no one would disturb him. In his spare time he would read datapads that he "found," where he learned nearly everything he knew before he went with his new Jedi Master. He was quiet and only spoke when necessary. What interaction he had with people were with children around his own age. He did not speak to anyone older than he.

It wasn't long before he began to see strange things happen when he went out for food and supplies. When he reached out to grab something the object would move slightly. It wasn't long before he figured out what was causing it. He had heard of the force and of Jedi, but had never seen a Jedi or someone use the force. Within a month he had nearly mastered his first force ability. He was able to move small objects using only the force. It wasn't long then until he would meet his future master. It was another typical day for Korvus, he had gone out to retrieve food and maybe another datapad, but this time he was caught, not by the owner of the goods, but by a Jedi. It was clear to the Jedi that the child was not apart of the order and yet he had control of the force. Both fear and amazement gripped the Jedi. His fear was "what if the boy couldn't be properly trained?" He was amazed however that a young boy was capable of such a feat. All the while Korvus was staring at the Jedi confused and waiting for punishment of some kind, but rather than punishment the Jedi handed him a glowing crystal. Korvus would later find out that it was a lightsaber crystal. Korvus took the crystal in hand and made it float in his hand for a moment before grasping it tightly. The Jedi then asked the boy his name. Korvus replied, "Korvus...Korvus Starlight." The Jedi smiled and told the boy who he was and what he was. Korvus was in awe of the Jedi. Even more so when the Jedi told Korvus that he too would become a Jedi. Korvus trusted him and it wasn't long before the Jedi and Korvus left Nar Shaddaa and made their way to the Jedi temple on Coruscant.

After talks with the council it was decided that the Jedi who found him would be his master. Korvus was delighted to hear this. And so his training had begun. He crafted his lightsaber with the green focusing crystal he had been given by his master back on Nar Shaddaa. He had a knack for everything they tested him with, whether it lightsaber training or using the force he excelled at it. During his free time Korvus found himself in the Jedi archives. His curiosity knew no bounds. During this time his master taught him a mixture of martial arts, including Teräs Käsi and Echani. His master later taught him how to use a blaster along with other weapons that Jedi wouldn't normally wield. By the age of 16 Korvus had surpassed nearly everyone's expectations, his master included. His 16th birthday marked when he became a Padawan. At 18 and after many missions with his master he had proven himself to both his master and the council and became an upholder of the Jedi code as a Jedi Knight. Soon enough Korvus would get another chance to prove himself at the Sacking of Coruscant. His duty was to protect both the knowledge that was held in the archives and the younger Padawans. It was not an easy task. Korvus had to defeat several Sith. Korvus fought bravely until a full retreat was called. Korvus, his master, and the young Padawans survived, but at the cost of many of their brethren. Korvus looked upon the ruined Jedi Temple, saddened deeply by what he saw. This sadness would soon pass however, for the the Jedi Order relocated to Tython.

When he arrived the first thing that he noticed was how strong the force was there. It felt like an all covering blanket, thick, yet not so think as to be heavy. It felt like a place he could call home. While on Tython Korvus found a new subject that he focused on, the Sith. After some research he had found an interesting case in the Jedi archives. The archives named one Jedi named Revan, who had turned to Dark Side and then had come back into the Jedi Order and saved the Republic. There were few useful details of what actually happened, but Korvus managed to find a name, Bastila Shan. It wasn't hard to make the connection. Korvus knew that Satele Shan was indeed related to Bastila. Korvus confronted Satele, but she wasn't particularly open about her family history. At that moment Korvus knew that it would take some time to get the information needed from Satele. In the mean time he asked around, finding out bits and pieces, mostly about Revan's history before he had turned to the Dark Side. He also learned information about Revan's companions, but sadly he learned very little about Revan himself.
